Block height
Time since last block --
A crew of stickmen digs in the cave around the clock. Every real Bitcoin block grows the chain, and after every 24 blocks (about 4 hours) a new miner clocks in.

Shifts are counted in blocks, not clock time: every miner digs exactly 24 blocks (shift = block height ÷ 24), so the crew is the same for everyone. Time estimates assume ~10 min per block and are only a rough guide.
We are building a community space inside Nonce Mine: a real-time feed where you can sign up and talk Bitcoin, AI, and everything in between. The cave is just the lobby.
Bitcoin blocks arrive about every ten minutes, roughly 144 times a day. Here each one is a swing of a pickaxe. The data is real, pulled live from the public mempool.space API; the stickmen are just there to make it fun to watch. Not financial advice.
